Check only or Check and tag: which to run
Both run every email through the same check and give the same statuses. Check and tag also writes the verdict onto each profile in Klaviyo; Check only keeps it in Securify and a CSV.
The statuses used below are explained in What each Securify status means.
Check and tag
Writes the verdict onto each profile in Klaviyo:
securify_status, when it was checked (securify_validated_at), which list and day it was checked for (securify_list_batch), and a score when we have one (securify_score).Run it when you'll act on the result in Klaviyo — segments, campaign exclusions, flow filters. Every playbook in these tutorials relies on it. The results are on the dashboard too.
Check only
Shows the results on the dashboard, with a CSV of every checked profile that you can download for 7 days, and changes nothing in Klaviyo — no properties, no events.
Run it to see how a list looks before deciding what to do with it, to work with the results in another tool, or when you'd rather not add properties to your profiles. Segments built on
securify_statusdon't change after a check only.
Tag a check later
A finished check-only run's results page has Tag these profiles in Klaviyo. It writes the verdicts the check already found, without checking again. We keep a check's results for 7 days from when it started; after that — or if the check stopped before the end — tagging needs a new Check and tag.
Where to find them
Every list on the dashboard has one button with an arrow (▾) next to it. On a list you haven't checked yet, the button is Check and tag → and the arrow opens Check only. Once a list has results, the button is View results → and the arrow opens both runs, Check and tag again and Check only. Either way you can close the tab: the check keeps going, and we email you when it's done.
