Protect your welcome flow from signup bots

Welcome flows are high-leverage sends: one per new subscriber, with heavy open-rate expectations at every inbox provider. Fake signups double-up the damage — the bounce hurts sender score and the delay pushes real subscribers' welcome emails into spam. Validate weekly to shrink the bucket.

   In Klaviyo, create a 'Recent signups' segment

   Left sidebar → Audience → Lists & segments → click Create segment (top-right). In the Segment builder, pick Properties about someone → Created is in the last 7 days. Name it something you'll remember.

   Run Securify on that segment

   On the dashboard, the segment picker shows every segment on your account. Click Validate once a week (we'll auto-schedule this in Phase 2).

   Add an exclusion to your welcome flow trigger

   Flows → your welcome flow → Filter → exclude anyone where securify_status is one of undeliverable, risky, disposable. Bots still enter the segment; they just never get the email.

   Measure

   Check the welcome flow's bounce rate week over week in Klaviyo's flow analytics. A drop from 4–6% to <1% is typical after the first clean run.
